If you spend any online time at all trying to find more sources of information on the things that interest you, you probably use Google. Maybe you use one of the many blog search tools to find good writing on your favorite topic. It’s a bit like drinking from a fire hose: once you turn it on, it’s tough to take it all in.
That’s why I’m glad I found Alltop.com, and specifically for this blog, food.alltop.com. Alltop consolidates the best content on the web in nearly 200 topics in one easy to browse place. (Journeymancook isn’t there yet; I’ve got work to do!)
In the food top you’ll find great blogs like Ruhlman, Symon Says, and Jaden’s Steamy Kitchen, you’ll also find interesting new info that you may not have found on your own. Who could resist Beer: Not Just For Breakfast Anymore, Mo Betta Butter, or National Chocolate Milkshake Day (it was the 12th, sorry!).
Alltop reduces timesuck, too. You can easily read a clip any item by simply holding your mouse over the title. Neat.
