A couple years ago for Christmas my wife got a ginormous stainless steel mixing bowl for me. It is my absolute favoritous cooking tool. I use if for everything from mixing a salad to straining homemade stock to making mashed potatoes. I have most of the things on your list as well and they are much appreciated in the kitchen. I am going to have to try the silicone stuff though, thanks for the tip.

Mike, The silicone stuff rocks! Seriously, every time I use it, I think to myself, "This is so cool!"
